How to enter
All entries should be made using the online entry system. The step-by-step system requires full details of the main contact for the entry and, depending on the category, the following details may be required:
- Commissioning authority
- Lead designer
- Architect
- Structural engineer
- Main contractor
It is also possible to add the names of other key firms associated with the project.
The most important part of the entry is the nomination statement. The nomination statement should be a PDF document containing:
- An introductory paragraph summarising the key achievements, innovations and/or outcomes
- A maximum of 800 words and up to ten images - two of these must be of high resolution
The nomination statement will be used by the judges to assess your project. It is your opportunity to convince the judges of why your project should be shortlisted. Take note of the judging criteria and use it to guide the content of the written submission.
An entry fee of £95 (plus VAT) must be paid for each project. The process is completed once payment details have been entered successfully using a credit card. Please note that for the Design, Construction, New Life and International categories, the entries must relate to bridges that opened to the public between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2024. For the Management, Ethos and Sustainability categories, the initiatives must have been initiated during the same timeframe, between 1 January 2023 and 31 December 2024.
To prepare the information that is required in each step an overview of the process can be viewed here.
All entries should be uploaded using this system. If for any reason it is not possible to use the online entry system, please contact j.sanchez@hgluk.com for alternative methods of entry.
DEADLINE: Entries must arrive no later than 17:30 (GMT) 10 January 2025.
The winners will be announced on Wednesday 12 March 2025 at Bridges 2025, following the conclusion of the day's conference programme at Coventry Building Society Arena.
